The Titus Venture is a web-site designed specifically to reach out to women who are over 40 by establishing a forum where we can candidly share our fears, our hurts, our problems and our victories. As a woman over 40, I find great comfort when I read about other women who are experiencing the same struggles, disappointments and life changing catastrophes that I do.
New statistics show that women over 40 are raising grandchildren, taking care of elderly parents and are divorced in higher numbers than at any other time in history. With all the pressure that surrounds these responsibilities, we need a strong support system. Our desire is to reach out women who feel neglected and alone. You are not alone!
The Titus Venture is your connection to women across the world who are struggling just like you. Join us in our new Titus Venture!

Let’s face it, getting older is hard. We live in a society that puts a premium on tight, firm bodies and wrinkle free skin. Madison Avenue and Hollywood create commercials that tell us in order to be fulfilled we need to be thinner, buy anti-wrinkle cream, and take energy boosting vitamins. The message is clear…our value is in how we look and not on who we are on the inside.
1 Peter 3:3-5 says: Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.
Two words in that passage really stick out to me: gentle and quiet.
When is the last time you saw a talk show devoted to having a gentle and quiet spirit?
What are your thoughts on this passage in light of the world we live in today?
